WW/WL Weyrs
Very seldom do the Weyrwoman and Weyrleader of Fort weyrmate to each other as a love match, however they are not expected to have other weyrmates. Nonetheless, their quarters are clearly designed to house more than one large dragon, a throwback to the first days of Fort and its married leading pair, and the generations after that were less strict. The ledges are extra large to accommodate dragons which are expected to be bigger than most. The ancient inner walls of the weyrs are much smoother than those of Arolos, though generally obscured by plush tapestries- tithes from local weavers.
The weyrs are spacious, designed for the special occupants, and set low on the Weyr. They are easily accessible from the ground of the Weyrbowl via a set of stairs. The stairs are normally guarded by one of the more trusted young bronze or brown riders; it is considered a place of honour to guard the Weyrwoman. Additionally, no one may drop in on the Weywoman's/Weyrleader's ledge without first obtaining permission. Violating protocol risks being sent back to work on the latrines and lower cave cleaning with the Candidates, the ultimate ignominy for a rider. The two weyrs are connected by a long corridor with a door only at the Weyrwoman's end. It is expected that the Weyrwoman can go see the Weyrleader at any time, but the Weyrleader must have permission to enter the Weyrwoman's weyr.
Both weyrs are ornately decorated. After all, the Weyrwoman and Weyrleader can have nothing but the best of the best. A large bed with specially carved legs and frame highlights the middle of the room in each weyr. Each room also contains a large upright cabinet and multiple storage chests. The main part of the weyr is large with an elaborate dining table on one side and a smaller meeting table on the other surrounded by comfortable chairs. On one wall a large (and very expensive) looking glass hangs in the WW's weyr. The rest of the weyr is decorated to the liking of the Weyrwoman and Weyrleader specifically living in the weyrs at that time.
