N'frem and Bronze Kagarth
Played By: MyaL
Character Name: N'frem
Pronunciation: ne-FREM
Character Type: Dragonrider
Rank: Wingrider
Political Alignment: Traditionalist
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Sexual Preference: Bisexual
Appearance:
One cannot trust his expression since he'll use it for manipulating everyone. Just intense grey eyes signal his intentions, peering toward those around him, judging them like they're some delicious herdbeast. Spread across his 6 foot tall frame are sleek, athletic muscles that are quite dangerous seeming given his predatory, prowling pace. The threadscore across his right shoulder, whenever it's visible, furthers that impression.
Despite that, Neffrem's somewhat appealing and knows how one uses their appearance. The nice, bronze skin covers him everywhere, and his face possesses a chiseled jaw and cheekbones which'll set him apart. Beyond the chiseled features, a juicy plushness makes his lower lip be the sort of thing that just deserves attention too. He keeps his hair pretty much shaved into being mere fuzz...mainly because his face looks too good to be hidden behind any strands.
Were that hair longer it would've been something more than mere blackened fuzz, it would've been dark ash blond instead. That shortness doesn't keep his hair from being soft when touched.
Personality:
Little 'mice' that have crossed his path might encounter an almost malicious playfulness. First he'll decide, seeming intense around possible prey, whether said target provides the entertainment necessary for sating his thirst. Those intentions have, with experience, became Fort Weyr centric and his lifestyle revolves more around certain traditions. After all, blue and greenriders make wonderful toys that are easily replaced whenever the newer favorites catch his attention. Shouldn't there always be some entertainment around?
Once bored over something he cannot remain idle, but said impatience is never externally shown. Few can accuse him of anything since he'll exercise the limits imposed onto bronzerider, without outwardly breaking them. His audacious confidence won't often press a situation too far over the edge. Competition fuels his passionate interior and he'll fixate over what he wants, making it unclear whether those desires are just whim. Neffrem cannot answer that since he'll never reconsider his meticulous attention toward detail without reason. So, although levelhead, his temperament seems rather crafty about influencing more into being under his control.
Things seldom go too far because he recognizes when certain danger zones are present. Still there's a semi-sadistic side beneath everything.
Birthplace: Igen Hold
Parents: Neffiar & Prema
Birthday: -08.09.21
History:
Neffiar and Prema never could focus on all their 9 children as individuals, there weren't enough hours during the day. Therefore, beyond the first two, none became that close with their parents and formed support circles among their sibling. Or sometimes the rebellious few sought out people outside their family. Neffrem was the first who turned their attention onto forming friendships. Then, within another 5 Turns, he accepted the younger brother that'd started idolizing him under his wing.
It was several sevendays after his 12th birthday before Neffrem apprenticed into the Tannercraft...separating himself somewhat from his beastcrafter father. Neffrem made it known around the Hold that he was open for sexual pursuits too without waiting for marriage. Before he could've been married, which his family would've forced him into if a female had gotten pregnant, he visited a Fortian Gather. In truth several apprentices were gaining experience from different Gathers, but a Searchrider noticed Neffrem instead.
The opportunity seemed too good and Neffrem accepted, becoming known around the Candidate Barracks for his mischief. He Stood for numerous clutches. Then, during the 6th mouth of the 10th Turn, one bronze that'd made the loudest racket within the Hatching Caverns mowed over some Candidate beside. {{Neffrem! Here's your Kagarth and that means we're all doomed! I wouldn't have hatched if there wasn't something to fight!}} From then onward Neffrem became N'frem of the arrogant, fierce and doomsaying bronze. What doom got described as sometimes even fit the bronzerider rather well, something N'frem inwardly laughed about.
N'frem didn't take their classmates that seriously either, viewing them as toys even back then. His attitude's gotten worse over time after graduating and somewhere along there he's fathered several children...several children that he knows about... At least once saw him targeted by some Resistance member due to him being such a Traditionalist bronzerider. He missed Frizith rising for her first time as Weyrwoman's Gold since he'd been sent on patrol earlier that day.
~~Dragon~~
Dragon Name: Kagarth
Color: Bronze
Age: 12 (8.10.06.03)
Wing: Winds of Fury
Appearance:
His medium-size made Kagarth tower, lean and durable, over almost everyone that he'll come across within Fort Weyr. That seems more normal once you've considered his color because, no matter their size, bronzes are large. Ruddy bronze like someone must've overturned some rich, oozing syrup...Another tone darkening his lower jaw continues down until it's abrupt end right before it'd reach his underbelly. That second color seems almost like someone scorched his hide, despite it feeling like normal hide under someone's touch.
Personality:
The oversized ego, eager for attention, never let him sneak around and even pressures Kagarth into announcing himself. None ever miss his arrival. Some must've even called it 'an unspoken demand'. It'll remain a mystery whether that assumption is true because the bronze has more pressing issues on his mind.
Namely that said audience will soon need him around. He must warn them and lesser colors need someone directing them, otherwise they'll cause some disaster to loom overhead! This made him seem rather like a doomsayer that'll prattle endlessly about what could happen if no one listens. It might've caused someone to tune him out...if his 'foresight' wasn't proven true so often. Kagarth can recognize all the problems that could arise, albeit some seem like he's warning them about something his rider might do.
Some criticism he'll provide in Mating Flights can seem rather inventive and interesting though. He once addressed a brown competitor with; {{No one aside from someone with wings made of lead would consider that showing off! Give me some decent competition, otherwise your wings'll fall off because you let them become lead. In case you've not noticed, you *NEED* those wings unless you're thinking our green star will catch *YOU* instead out of pity!}}
His fierceness, inside and outside those flights, will come across as somewhat loud and blustery.
Weyr of Origin: Fort Weyr
Abilities and weaknesses: Bronzes aren't known for their agility. Someone must've forgotten they should inform Kagarth about that since his maneuvering, and stamina, is above average. His alertness/knowledge about air currents gave his agility that final push but neither are his strongest asset. That award falls under his intense, well-controlled flame that never become wide, or unfocused bursts. He must move a bunch when flaming a larger clump of Thread, however, it does burn into ash far quicker than normal. Anyone caught within that flame would be in great, great danger...plus, he's slow to accelerate.
